Coming from the North it looks like the best route would be to get off the A6 at 'Nether Haddon', though whilst I'm sure I've ridden that road a few times before I can't picture it so don't know if it's any good.

I reckon your best bet coming from the north would be to motorway it to Glossop via the M67, then take Snake Pass as far as Derwent water. Heading south from there you'd want to go through Bamford, Hathersage, and Grindleford. Neat/at Baslow take the route to Matlock/A6 via Chatsword house, as it's quite picturesqe and there's a few nice open bends with perfect visibility. |
