  GoldWing
Hey You Guys!

Been awhile since I bugged you, so I figured you were due! You listed my 'Wing on your very cool site a few years back (it sure looked different! S.), and some of the reader feedback complained that my scooter wasn't ratty enough... Well, I believe a rat bike is something that isn't "made", but rather "matures" like a fine wine or moldy piece of cheese. Having said that, I would be humbled if you posted updated pix of my daily ride on your site.

New additions to the old girl include losing about 150 ugly pounds by getting rid of the fairing and trunk, adding dual front headlights, the way you European boys do it, and adding twin side-mount fuel cells in place of the original side covers. Each fuel cell holds 1.5 gallons of go- juice. I finished the scooter off in two (brush painted) cans of flat black Krylon that I got for fifty cents each. I've owned the bike since 1990 and removing the fairing is like riding a totally new scoot! As always, you have the BEST damn rat bike page on the internet! Gotta' love them rats!
