  The Chappaha
side-on view

Thanks for letting me send you some pics of my first 'real' project bike. First a few words about the Chappaha: This Maxim 650 started life like many others, in the 80's and pretty much went down hill from there. I got this bike from a friend a few months ago to teach my wife to ride - she learned but wanted something with a little higher "cool" factor. So a grinder, a couple dozen metal drill bits a few cans of flat black spray paint (and many sleepless nights) and a galvanized boat trailer fender... BEHOLD THE CHAPPAHA in all it's glory. Grand total project cost - $652, and I paid $600 for the bike. More to come later but thanks for looking. Here's a link to the project as it progressed: www.phatchicdesigns.com/chappaha
I have a Shadow 1100 but it's not "ratty enough" yet.

later, Mo
